From 16 to 20 March, the UPM, the coordinating partner of the SkincAIr project, hosted the ‘Try IT!’ congress at the Higher Technical School of Computer Engineering in Madrid. The aim of this conference is to introduce participants to the latest technological trends and facilitate direct contact with leading companies in the sector. These include major firms such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM. The programme features talks on generative AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, data science and the latest computing innovations, alongside maths and programming competitions.
SkincAIr was one of the main topics discussed during the roundtable discussion, ‘From Reactive to Predictive Medicine’, which was held on Thursday 19. SkincAIr partners Mario Bravo Cuadro and Emil Stelian represented the project on this panel. “During the discussion, I shared some reflections on how this shift depends not only on AI models, but also on high-quality data, real clinical integration, trust and usability, as demonstrated by real-world use cases such as the RADIFI and SkincAIr projects”, explains Mario.
