On Monday 18 May, Celia Fernández Aller from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid represented SkincAIr at the event, ‘Open Government in Spain: Consolidation, Evaluation and Innovation in Open Governance’, organised by the Centre for Political and Constitutional Studies (Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales) in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Public Governance (Dirección General de Gobernanza Pública).
This seminar aimed to analyse the progress made, identify the main remaining challenges, and reflect on the future of the Open State in Spain. The focus was on the impact of digitalisation and artificial intelligence on transparency, participation, and accountability. The meeting brought together public officials, academic experts, civil society representatives and professionals from various fields to engage in an informed, pluralistic dialogue that would contribute to the creation of a more open, inclusive and effective society.
As part of the event, Celia participated in a roundtable discussion entitled ‘Open Data and the Ethical Governance of Technology’, which once again emphasised SkincAIr’s commitment to handling the data collected for the development of our app in accordance with the highest ethical standards. “Only in this way can we contribute to the development of better technologies for the benefit of society·”, Celia said.
